1. Line an 8 inch pan with parchment paper (or aluminum foil) -leaving some overhang over the sides. Coat with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Lightly grease a large bowl and combine the nuts, puffed rice cereal, and flaxseed meal.
3. In a small saucepan combine the molasses (or rice syrup), honey, vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp. sea salt and bring to a boil over medium heat. Whisk constantly and cook for 2 minutes as it foams and turns an amber brown color.
4. Immediately pour the syrup mixture over top the nut mixture and stir to evenly combine. Evenly press into the prepared pan, making sure there are no gaps. Let cool for at least 20 minutes.

4. Pour syrup mixture immediately over nut mixture and stir to combine. Transfer into the lined pan and spread out evenly, making sure there are no gaps.
