2. Cook over medium heat stirring frequently until the sugar is dissolved and the figs are juicy.
3. Turn the heat to low, add the water and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the fruity is soft and the juices are beginning to thicken.
4. Turn off the heat and spoon the jam into two pint size jars.

2. Cover with a lid and place the saucepan over medium heat. Keeping cover on, cook for ~20 minutes, or until the figs are super soft and can be easily mushed with a fork. Let cool completely.
3. Blend in a high speed blender (I used my Vitamix) until a spreadable paste. Store in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
