    1. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line a half sheet pan with parchment paper.
    2. Slice pears in half. Scoop out the seeds. Cut a sliver off the bottom of each pear half so that they will lay flat. Place pears on the pan about 2 inches apart, main cut side up.
    3. In a small bowl, stir the honey, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Spoon half the honey mixture over the pears evenly.
    4. Roast about 25 minutes, until pears are easily pierced with a fork but not mushy. Sprinkle baked pears with the walnuts and reserved honey mixture before serving.
