Nothing is easier or more delicious than a beautiful, caramelized Baked Ham, especially with this pineapple brown sugar glaze on top. Take ham out of the refrigerator 1-2 hours before baking to allow it to come to room temperature. Meanwhile, make the glaze. In a saucepan combine pineapple tidbits, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves.
I used honey in place of the brown sugar and it works perfectly to add that delicious sweetness that's a hallmark of pineapple ham. There's also a little balsamic vinegar snuck in there.
Pour the juice from 1 can of pineapple into the bottom of the pan. Don’t pour the juice over the ham because it will wash off the brown sugar. Cover the ham with aluminum foil, secure it around the roaster, and let hang out in the fridge overnight, or for at least 8 hours. The next day, remove the ham from the refrigerator.
