Web3 cups part skim mozzarella cheese shredded 4 ounces regular cream cheese 2 large eggs 3 cups finely ground almond flour …

Rating: 5/5(2)
Category: Main CourseCuisine: German, Keto, Low CarbEstimated Reading Time: 3 mins1. For the filling: I make the filling the day before I want to make the bierocks and cool it overnight in the refrigerator. Start by warming 1 tablespoon of the butter & avocado oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the shredded cabbage, the onion, the ground beef and the salt and pepper. Break up the beef. Add the water and cover and cook over medium low heat for 30-40 minutes stirring occasionally. The cabbage should be wilted and the beef fully cooked through. Drain the mixture when it finishes cooking.
2. For the dough: Melt the mozzarella cheese and the cream cheese in the microwave for 1 minute, stir and put in for an additional 30 seconds. Mix well. In a food processor mix up 2 eggs, then add in the cheese mixture. Make sure the cheese is not very hot when combined with the eggs or you will cook the eggs. Once the cheese and eggs are fully mixed add all the almond flour. Process in the food processor until a dough ball forms. Remove from the processor and form into a disc. Cut the disc in half. Roll our half of the dough between 2 pieces of parchment paper to about ¼ inch thickness. Cut off the ends of the dough to make a large rectangle or square shape to work with. Save the scraps and re-roll those to make more! Cut the dough into square shapes, about 5 inches each. I was able to do 4 squares per roll with the first 2 halves and got 3 more from the scraps. Put 1/3-1/2 cup filling in the center of each square. Pull up all the corners of your square into the middle and seal the 4 sea

Web1 large onion, chopped 1⁄2 teaspoon salt (or to taste) 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper (or to taste) 1 medium cabbage, chopped 2 batches of a white bread dough directions

Servings: 10Total Time: 55 minsCategory: MeatCalories: 224 per serving1. Saute onion in a bit of oil until just translucent. Add hamburger and saute until no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. Drain away the grease, and return to the pan. Cover the mixture with the shredded cabbage and cook until the cabbage is done. Stir occasionally. This could take about 45 minutes or so.
2. Using an egg-dough recipe, roll small balls of dough thin to make a 5×5 square. Put about 1/2 cup of cabbage mixture in center of square and seal closed. (See note below). Place seal side down on a parchment lined baking sheet (or a lightly greased sheet). Allow these to sit, covered lightly with a tea towel, for about 20 minutes – so the dough can rise for the second time.
3. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 or until lightly golden brown.
4. A side note: Use a slotted spoon or similar when filling the dough to allow the cabbage/hamburger mix to be dry’ish. You don’t want these “juicy” or the bottom of the roll will be doughy and wet and not cook properly.
