2. Fry until onions are really softened and golden (this will take about 20-25 mins, don't be tempted to turn heat up, or you will burn onions), keep stirring at intervals to prevent any burning or sticking, add another little spray oil if needed.

4. If you feel, during the process of frying the batter has gone a bit watery, you can add 1-2 tsp of gram flour too.
