You only need to cook the meat for your low carb Mongolian Beef for about 1-3 minutes or so, it cooks very fast. You’ll also need to watch that you don’t burn it when you have the skillet on a high heat. Then when the meat is almost finished cooking you can add the green onions and cook them briefly for about 30 seconds to a minute or so.
It seems like it would be low carb because it is only beef and green onions But, according to the PF Changes website the dish has 39 carbs and 32 gram of sugar. I have definitely ordered and eaten this dish at PF Changs and thought that I was making a great choice for the keto diet because all the foods were low carb.
Low Carb Mongolian Beef uses a tender, quick-cooking steak cut marinated in a savory ginger-garlic sauce for a meal that tastes straight out of a Chinese restaurant! For those days when you prefer a lighter protein, chicken is the way to go!
