Discard bay leaves. Stir in fresh parsley and chopped pickled jalapeno, if desired, and serve over Carolina Gold rice.
4. Serve alongside Garlic Roasted Pork Loin and Collard Greens for a traditional Lowcountry New Year's Day feast!
