1. Preheat oven to 325 F.Prepare the glaze: Heat butter and honey in a saute pan over medium heat and bring to a low boil. Whisk in the mustard and garlic until smooth. Remove from heat.
2. Place the ham on a large oven-safe pan, with the cut side down. Brush the ham with the glaze covering all areas.Tent ham loosely with tin foil and place into oven.
3. For an 8 lb ham, cook for approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. (about 15 minutes per pound), or until internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F. For a caramelized coating, turn on the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until desired doneness.Remove from oven and transfer onto a cutting board. Slice ham and serve with any leftover glaze.
