DirectionsStep1Slice the meat as thinly as you can. Set aside for a while when you make the marinade.Step2To make the marinade: combine the coconut aminos or tamari, vinegar, onion powder, and the pepper in a steel or glass bowl. Whisk until well combined.Step3Place the beef slices one by one into the marinade, ensuring the slices are completely covered with the marinade.Step4Cover with a plastic wrap and let marinate in the fridge overnight, or at least 6 hours.Step5The next day, take the marinated beef slices from the fridge. Preheat the oven to 140 °F (60 °C).Step6Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a baking rack on top of the baking sheet.Step7Spread the beef slices evenly on the baking rack, next to each other. The slices can touch each other, but don't let them overlap.Step8Place the baking rack with the beef slices on the top oven rack.Step9Place the parchment paper-lined baking sheet on the low oven rack. This is to catch the possible drippings from the meat.Step10Dry for about 6 hours, or until dry and pliable. A longer drying time makes the meat crispy (which I prefer!).Step11Serve as a snack or appetizer.
