The combination of a chilled Dijon with a warm salmon fillet is heaven. To make a creamy dill dijon mustard sauce without so much dairy, I use almond milk. I realize that my recipe also uses cream cheese, which is technically dairy.
Add Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve immediately.
Pour in the white wine, white wine vinegar and water and bring to boil over medium heat. Simmer for just about 5 minutes. Cool, strain and discard the solids. Place the mustard powder into a saucepan and add the strained liquid. Mix until well combined.
