Boil 1 1/2 cups of water, Guajillo chilies, garlic cloves and salt in a heavy small saucepan until the chilies are tender, about 5-7minutes. Remove the chilies and garlic from the cooking liquid but reserve the liquid. Remove the stems and seeds from the chilies and discard. Transfer the cleaned chilies to a blender along with the garlic cloves.
Guajillo chilies are very common in Mexican cooking for making mole sauce, salsas and sauces, like this wonderful guajillo sauce that goes great on anything. I often buy them in bulk, as I can find them in large plastic bags at my local grocery store.
Place the seasoned chicken in a large container and pour 1/2 cup of Guajillo Sauce over them. Mix them up and let them marinate for 1-2 hours or overnight, if you would like to prepare ahead. Grill over a preheated bbq, for about 8-10 minutes per side.
