2. Heat a 10" skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and heat until it shimmers. Add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, 7-8 minutes. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally to break up the beef, until no longer pink, about 10 minutes.
3. Add the taco seasoning and tomato paste to the skillet. Stir until the tomato paste is worked into the beef and onion mixture and the spices are fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Pour the broth into the skillet. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is absorbed and the sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.
