1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a pie dish with oil.
2. Steam the chopped broccoli florets in the microwave with 1 tablespoon water until tender crisp and green but not mushy, about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes.
3. Evenly spread the broccoli in the dish and top it evenly with the grated cheddar cheese.
4. Make the custard mixture by whisking together the milk, half and half, eggs, salt, black pepper, and the nutmeg. Pour the custard into the dish and bake 35 to 40 minutes, until the center is set.

Total Time: 50 minsCategory: BreakfastCalories: 457 per serving1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F and place oven rack into the middle position. Spray a 9-10 inch quiche plate with baking spry.
2. If you haven't already, cook and crumble the bacon. Cut and steam the broccoli (I use the microwave). Finely dice the onions.
3. Starting with the cheese, begin layering the quiche ingredients into the quiche plate: 1/4 of the cheese and 1/3 each of the broccoli, onion, and bacon. Continue layering the ingredients, finishing with the cheese.
4. Add the eggs, heavy cream, almond milk (or water), salt and pepper to a medium bowl and beat with a hand mixer until frothy. Gently pour the custard over the layered quiche ingredients.
