3. Stir the ingredients together so that the apples are coated in spices and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the apples are very soft. If you're good at multitasking, while these are cooking, you can start on the crust (instructions below). If you're not into multitasking, don't sweat it...our brains really aren't engineered for that nonsense anyway.
4. Place the softened apples along with the liquid into a blender and blend until very smooth. Smooth is the name of the game here!
