With Grenadine: Mix 1 ounce each amaretto and Southern Comfort with 1/2 ounce each lime juice and grenadine.
An Alabama Slammer is a fruity cocktail made with amaretto, sloe gin, orange juice, and Southern Comfort whiskey. It’s served both as a highball drink and a shot.
Some Alabama Slammer recipes add an extra kick with either vodka or bourbon. Some add a single shot of either liquor and others skip the amaretto entirely, adding 1 ounce of both liquors instead. You would also have to reduce the sloe gin to ¾ ounce for this recipe.
Mix 1 ounce each amaretto and Southern Comfort with 1/2 ounce each lime juice and grenadine. Mix 1/2 ounce sloe gin with 1 ounce each amaretto and Southern Comfort and add a dash of lemon juice.
