1. Chop and dice the onions and mince the garlic cloves, thyme, and basil.
2. On the stove top on medium high add the oil, onions and garlic to the pot. Cook until the onions are soft and stir every now and then.
3. Once the onions are ready add the rest of the ingredients into the pot and stir until well combined.
4. Cook for about 45 minutes. Continue to stir every now and then and let it simmer but not boil. Adjust the heat as needed.
