1. Combine the canned tomatoes, water, salt, onion powder and garlic powder in a medium saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and then simmer for 2 minutes.
3. Remove from the heat and puree with an immersion blender until smooth (or transfer to a traditional blender and blend, then return blended soup to the pan.)
4. Return to the stove and add the butter and mascarpone cheese to the soup.

2. Then add the tomatoes, tomato paste, basil leaves, chicken stock, beans, and crushed red pepper. Turn the heat up to medium-high and simmer for 20 minutes, stir occasionally.
3. Turn off the heat. Using an immersion blender, puree the the soup until completely smooth. Taste and salt and pepper as needed.
4. Then add the cream and stir to combine. Serve as is, or pour through a sieve for an even finer creamy texture.

4. Transfer the tomatoes, garlic, and onions to a blender and puree until smooth. If you have an immersion blender, you can blend in the pot you will be cooking the soup in. (I have both, and preferred the blender for the smoothest result.)
