Place the cookies in the oven for 8-10 minutes or until just beginning to brown. Remove the cookies from the oven, let them cool 5 minutes and then transfer them to a cooling rack.
4. As cookies are cooling, add peanut butter and butter to a bowl and heat for 20 seconds or until it is beginning to melt. Add a little caramel extract and powdered sugar to the peanut butter and stir until sugar dissolves. Finally, carefully drizzle caramel over the cookies.
