3. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 5 minutes.
4. Uncover; simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat; sprinkle with cheese., Bake, uncovered, until top is golden and leeks are tender, 15-20 minutes.

4. In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of the butter over medium heat. Add the leeks and cook until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes. Spoon the cooked leeks over the top of the eggs in the gratin dish – don’t wash the skillet!

Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in cheese until melted. Stir in leeks. Pour into casserole.
3. In small bowl, mix bread crumbs and 2 teaspoons butter until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over casserole.
4. Bake uncovered about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
