2. Spoon about 2 teaspoons cheese on shortest side of each triangle. Roll up each, starting at shortest side of triangle and rolling to opposite point. Using photo as a guide, place crescents next to each other in tree-shaped pattern on cookie sheet, starting with trunk and working up to top.

1. Heat oven to 375°F. Line large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. Remove dough from can; do not unroll. Using serrated knife, cut dough roll into 11 rounds.
2. Using photo as a guide, arrange dough into shape of tree on cookie sheet, spacing slightly apart, and ending with one round for the base. Gently press middle of each round to create a well for topping.
3. In small bowl, mix cream cheese, 1/4 cup powdered sugar and the almond extract with spoon until mixed well. Spoon 1 rounded teaspoon cream cheese mixture on center of each dough round, spreading slightly. Top each with 1 cherry. Bake 16 to 19 minutes or until golden brown and dough is baked through.
4. In small bowl, mix 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of the milk, adding more as necessary for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle topping on top of crescent tree, and serve warm.

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Removed the dough from the can without unrolling. Cut each can into sixteen slices (8 from each roll).
2. Place the slices on a lightly greased cookie sheet to form a tree. One slice at the top, two slices in the next row, three in the next, then four slices, and five slices for the last row. There will be one remaining slice that can be used for the trunk. After you have formed the tree, lightly roll out to flatten a little bit. I didn't do this and the crescent was a little too thick after it was baked.
3. If you are making two trees, refrigerate the other tree while the first one bakes. Baked for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool for 1-2 minutes and then carefully loosen from the sheet and move to a cooling rack. Bake the second tree.
4. Move the cooled tree to your serving platter prior to decorating.
