Bring to the boil over high heat.Step4When boiling, turn the heat down to a simmer, place the lid on and simmer gently for 5-10 minutes or until the pears are tender. Check occasionally to make sure that the pears are submerged in the liquid.Step5Leave them to sit in the cooking liquid for 20 minutes to absorb all the flavors before serving warm or cold.
