This lip balm is still very good without it. What ingredients do you need to make lip balm? You only need 2-3 ingredients to make a basic lip balm. This recipe uses coconut oil, almond oil, beeswax, and essential oils. You can create your own blend for this recipe with just coconut oil and wax if you like.
The good news is homemade lip balm is quite wallet-friendly. When I added up the amount of each ingredient I used to make this lip balm recipe, it worked out to as little as 60 cents a tube (depending on whether you use essential oils or powder for tinting). If you buy your ingredients in bulk, it can be even less!
Once you place all 50 lip balm tubes into the pouring tray ( as far in as they can go), you have two pouring methods to choose from… “The Massive Pour”: Fill up all 50 tubes with one giant pour. Then scrape off the excess lip balm and save it for another batch. If you choose this option you will need to do a “clean up” (see below).
After the lip balm is all set up, the warmth of your finger will soften it enough to apply on your lips or even on your hands. Make one scent for yourself or a whole bunch and use them as party favors or little gifts for friends. You could even make some lip scrub in a matching scent so you can keep your lips smooth and healthy.
