Allow the liquid to cool, and then drain the liquid using a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth. Press all liquid out of the berries using the back of a wooden spoon.

On medium-high heat, bring to a boil, stirring often. Once at a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Stirring often to avoid scorching.
