In order to get a low carb chai latte, you can pick any of the following plant milk, in their unsweetened version. Alright, now that you got all your spices, let’s get to work. Mix all of your spices together. Put the chai spice mix in a wide pot with the water. I like to leave the spices in a tea infuser like this one*, to make straining easier.
In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk until scalding. Turn off the heat and add the black tea bags, let steep for about 5 minutes and then remove the tea bags. Add 1 teaspoon of the chai spice mix and 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup and whisk to combine.

To make a delicious dairy-free latte with this mixture, simply place one cup water, one plain black tea bag, and one half to one full tablespoon chai spice mix (depending on just how spicy you like your chai) into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium boil and cover, steeping for 10 minutes or so. Remove the tea bag and stir well.
