3. Now in the rice-dal mixture add in the grated bottle gourd followed by baking soda, turmeric powder, salt, ginger paste, green chili paste, refined oil, lemon juice and sugar. Mix all the ingredients properly and keep this mixture aside on the kitchen counter until needed again.
4. Next in a deep bottomed pan heat some refined oil, then add some mustard seeds in the pan. Allow the mustard to splutter, after that add in the carom seeds followed by sesame seeds and asafetida. Saute the mixture properly.
