Instructions. 1 Put your green beans in the bottom of your 6-quart slow cooker. 2 Add your onions, garlic salt, onion, ham and broth. 3 Place your ham bone on top of everything. 4 Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until your beans reach your desired tenderness.
In a 4 to 6 quart crockpot, add onion, green beans, ham, chicken broth, seasoned salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours until vegetables are tender. Remove ham hock after cooking. Allow it to cool then pull meat from bone and add the meat back to the crockpot. Drain liquid from beans or use a slotted spoon for easy serving.
Put the rinsed beans, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, parsley, cloves, ham (chopped into large chunks) or ham hocks into the crock pot along with 6 cups water or broth. Cover crock, and cook on low for about 8 hours, or until beans are tender and creamy. Skim any excess fat, if necessary, before serving.
