But you don't want to ruin them by adding sugar. Luckily, you can use a sugar alternative to make amazing low carb and keto fruit desserts that will be enjoyed by the whole family.
Grate the rind of the fruit and add the sugar and acids in bowl. Squeeze juice from the fruit and add to mixture. Pour the boiling water over and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Cool the mixture strain and then bottle. To serve dilute with ice cold water, mixing one part of cordial to four parts of water.
Even on a more moderate low-carb diet (20-50 grams per day) you’ll have to be careful with fruit – probably no more than about one a day. On a liberal low-carb diet (50-100 grams per day) you may be able to squeeze in two or three fruits a day, if that is your biggest source of carbs.
