Using a small saucepan or kettle, boil some water and fill a baking dish with water to about 1-inch. In a separate small bowl, mix your syrup and molasses and then pour evenly into the bottom of four small ramekins.
Flan is a sweetened egg custard dessert. It usually has a caramel topping – it is baked but when you bite into it, it melts in your mouth. It’s a very delicate dessert that most people save for super special occasions. Don’t be intimated by this dessert. It’s easier to make than you might thing – especially if you follow my low-carb recipe.

The most popular ones contain erythritol, a keto-friendly sugar alcohol with zero impacting carbs. When making the caramel syrup, I don’t recommend using any sweetener with erythritol.
