1. Chill the milk and add sugar to it. Stir well until dissolved.
2. You can also boil the milk until it reduces and thickens a bit. Usually milk is boiled until it reduces to half. Then chilled.
3. Add falooda seeds to a tea strainer and rinse them with clean water.
4. Soak them in a bowl of water for 20 minutes. Drain them to the tea strainer if there is excess water. If you skip this step your falooda will thin down with the excess water.

1. This step is optional. You can use sweetened chilled milk directly but I prefer thick creamy milk for my falooda as it makes it even more decadent making these extra steps worth it.
2. In a bowl, add 1 tbsp sabja (basil) seeds in 1/2 cup of water. Mix well and soak for 30mins to an hour.
3. Follow the package instruction for cooking the falooda sev. I boiled my falooda noodles in sufficient water until soft ( approximately 2 mins).
4. Follow the package instruction for making the jello (or jelly).
