1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper leaving a bit of overhang and line the sheet with saltines.
3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and then add the light brown sugar stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil and continue boiling for approximately 3 minutes or until the mixture is deep caramel in color. Pour the boiling mixture (please be careful!) onto the saltines and spread to cover evenly.
4. Bake the saltines in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the saltines.

2. Combine butter and brown sugar in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over the crackers and spread evenly.
3. Bake at 400° for 6 minutes or till hot and bubbly. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let sit for a few minutes till the chocolate melts, then use an offset spatula to spread chocolate evenly. Top with nuts.
4. Cool completely and break into pieces. This process takes a few hours, so I sometimes put mine in the fridge to speed things up a bit.
