Focaccia is an Italian bread that’s baked flat. It’s a yeast bread that’s no knead, easy to make and perfect as a side dish or for sandwiches. And it’s absolutely perfect when dipped in good olive oil! What do you eat focaccia bread with? When I went looking for an easy bread recipe I came across this one and decided I had to make it for dinner.
Dimple focaccia all over with your fingers, like you’re aggressively playing the piano, creating very deep depressions in the dough (reach your fingers all the way to the bottom of the pan). Drizzle with remaining 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Bake focaccia until puffed and golden brown all over, 20–30 minutes.
But the shortcut is still possible, and if you want focaccia ready in 1 HOUR you can reduce the proofing time (see the recipe card for more instructions). Focaccia is super versatile, when it comes to toppings, the sky is the limit!
