This delicious low carb barbecue dry rub is one of the seasoning recipes from my cookbook – Craveable Keto. It is fantastic on ribs, chicken, steak, pork chops, or even prawns. Plus, it’s super quick and easy to whip up and without all the additives and sugar that you would typically find in a store-bought mix.
This deliciously sweet and savory low carb barbecue dry rub is fantastic on ribs, chicken, steak, or even prawns. Even though it's a beautiful February day here in the Pacific Northwest, I'm already dreaming of barbecue season.
The ingredients in this recipe are sweetener, kosher salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, turmeric, and chili powder. If you want the dry rub on the spicy side, you can kick it up with some ground cayenne pepper. For the sweetener, I used a sugar free sweetener to keep this BBQ rib rub keto.
Line a baking sheet with tin foil, spray with cooking oil and heat the oven to 250°. Turn the ribs over and slice gashes in the membrane of the back of the racks to allow the rub to penetrate better. Massage the entire batch of Keto Rib Rub into the ribs, covering the front, backs and edges.
