For an effective vitamin C serum, you need 5-20% LAA at a pH less than 3.5. Above 20%, the effectiveness of LAA doesn’t increase but the side effects (mostly irritation) do. As a dry solid, LAA is reasonably stable and cheap. You can find this at most supplement stores, or you can order it off iHerb like I did ( Amazon has this brand too ).
