Frequently Asked Questions

Is dill pickle slaw keto?

Low Carb Coleslaw (Dill Pickle Slaw), is a delicious balance of crunchy and creamy with a surprising ingredient - dill pickles and bacon! So good! Easy to make and the perfect foolproof recipe for your next weeknight dinner, cookout, or BBQ. This is a healthy coleslaw dressing recipe and its low carb, sugar-free, and keto-approved.

How to make low carb pickles?

They are very easy to make and a great appetiser or snack. Breadcrumbs are often used for fried and baked pickles but to make this dish low carb and gluten free I used a mix of Parmesan cheese and almond flour. You could add more spices and herbs to this mixture, but I kept mine plain.

How to make keto fermented dill pickles?

I normally use a ratio of 2l water – 2 Tablespoons of salt. This will make Keto Fermented Dill Pickles salty just right. Not over-salted. Once you boil the water and mix the salt in, make sure the salt dissolves. Switch the water off and let it cool fully.

Are pickles keto friendly?

Pickles on keto are a natural fit. They have zero grams of total carbs and therefore zero grams of net carbs. Pickle chips or spears are a great snack on a keto diet or in a gluten free lifestyle. For the classic dill pickle flavor, I use only one flavoring: dill seeds.
