1. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and add the beef. Cook the chunks of meat for about 2 minutes until all sides are browned.
2. Meanwhile chop all the vegetables.
3. When the beef has browned, remove it from the frying pan and put in the slow cooker bowl. Add the vegetables to the frying pan and cook for 5 minutes.
4. Place the cooked vegetables in the slow cooker bowl with the beef and add the other ingredients. Cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours.
