Calories: 64 per servingCategory: Appetizer, Side Dish1. Rinse and soak lentils in 3 times water, so for 1 cup of lentils, use 3 cups of water. Soak overnight or for 8 hours. After that, rinse and drain the lentils.
2. No-fry Method: Heat the Stuffed Pancake Pan on medium heat. Add few drops of oil to the cavities. Using a medium cookie spoon, add batter into the cavities. Cover the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on the first side. Flip using a fork or chopsticks and cook another 3-4 mins, or until the exterior looks golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
3. In a wide bowl add hot water. Add the cooked bhalle and let them soak for 15-20 minutes. Add a tiny plate on top to add weight. This process makes them softer. After that, gently squeeze them between your palms to get rid of the water and keep aside. If the water is still hot, add cold water to temper it.
4. Whisk yogurt (dahi) with water, salt, cugar, cumin and chaat masala. Adjust seasoning to taste.
