When mixing up the normal version of cilantro lime dressing, mix all of the ingredients except for the oil first, then add the oil and mix quickly. The more you blend the lime salad dressing with the oil in it, the oil may become bitter.
Because of the lime juice, which can be kind of tart, adding a sweetener, even if only a small amount, can be a nice combo which offsets the tartness of the lime. It’s that sweet and sour combo that we love!
