Total Time: 20 minsCategory: Breakfast, Dessert, SnackCalories: 218 per serving1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (177 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Arrange the hazelnuts in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 8-10 minutes, until they are browned and fragrant.
3. Place the hazelnuts into a large container or bowl with a lid. Shake vigorously to remove loose skins. Repeat the process as needed, setting aside hazelnuts that already have their skins removed, until most of the skins are off. (Alternatively, rub the hazelnuts inside a folded towel to remove the skins.)
4. Place the skinned hazelnuts into a high-power blender, like the Blendtec 625. Process for 1-3 minutes, scraping the sides as needed, until the nuts begin to release oil and then form a smooth nut butter. (The Blendtec Twister Jar works well for this - just turn the lid counterclockwise as the blender runs.)

Rating: 4.8/5(4)
Category: DessertCuisine: AmericanTotal Time: 52 mins1. In a mixing bowl of a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugars on high speed until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes). Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Use your spatula to scrape the sides of your mixing bowl between each egg addition, to make sure all the batter is incorporated.
2. Add in cocoa, cake flour, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt and set mixer on lowest speed setting to stir until dough is just combined. You want the dough to be smooth and uniform in color, but you don't want to overmix it, so this should only take a few revolutions and less than 30 seconds. Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips (reserve the remaining 1/3 cup).
3. Place the dough in the fridge for about 30-60 minutes to chill. You want the dough to be cold (but not to the point that it's hard) so it's less sticky to work with and won't spread too much in the oven.
4. Preheat oven to 410°F.
