3. To freeze, divide the mixture into approximately one pound sections. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap, then wrap with foil and place into a resealable freezer bag. If you have access to a vacuum seal, you can go that route. Freeze for 6 to 12 months. (Vacuum sealed will last longer.)
4. To cook the sausage, heat 1 Tbsp. oil in a skillet over medium heat. Form the sausage into patties and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees F.
