Frequently Asked Questions

What flour do you use to make keto cinnamon rolls?

That dough uses coconut flour, which I prefer to almond flour. Sure enough, coconut flour was the answer! I was so impressed with how these keto cinnamon rolls turned out the second time. The dough is light and fluffy like a traditional pastry, with just the right amount of sweetness.

What is the best dough base for low carb cinnamon rolls?

Fathead dough is my go-to keto dough base for these cinnamon rolls as well as pizzas, dinner rolls, and more. Make the fathead dough: To make the low-carb cinnamon rolls, start by melting mozzarella cheese (weird I know, but just go with it) and mixing it with almond flour and flax meal.

How do you cook cinnamon rolls in a baking dish?

Before you place the rolls in the baking dish, pinch the bottom of the cinnamon rolls together just a bit with your fingertips. This helps the butter from cooking out of your rolls and keeps all of that delicious filling in each cinnamon roll!
