1. Pound the steaks with a meat tenderizer gently until about 1.5 centimetres thick (approximately half an inch).
2. Slice the steaks lengthwise into long strips about 2.5-3 centimetres wide (about 1.5 inches).
3. Thread the steak strips onto metal or wooden skewers (about 2-3 strips per skewer, to make 6 skewers). Set aside.
4. In a large, shallow baking dish or container combine the onion, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame seeds, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, sriracha, honey, and salt and pepper. Whisk until well combined.

3. When ready to cook, heat grill to high. (You should be able to hold your hand 1 to 2 inches above the grate for only 2 to 3 seconds). Oil grates with cooking spray or oil.
4. Drain beef and discard the marinade. Thread 4-5 beef strips onto each skewer, accordion style.
