Here’s a recipe for an authentic, homestyle, just-like-grandma’s Aloo Keema – Ground Beef & Potato Curry. This is a traditional, one-pot beef keema curry recipe that’s simple, easy-to make, and gives the most tender, flavorful results! “I was looking for something that would taste just like the one my mom makes and this was perfect!
I think cooking this keto keema on the stove is even easier. First, heat a 10’ pan over medium heat until it is evenly hot. Saute the onions in ghee (or oil) until well browned, making sure to stir to avoid burning. Add the ginger and garlic and fry until fragrant. Next, add the ground beef, cooking and breaking it into smaller pieces.
The ground beef and potatoes should keep well for up to 3 months. Take your serving of Keema Aloo out of the freezer the night before you plan to eat it, and let it defrost in the fridge. You can reheat it in the microwave or in a pan on the stovetop. The meat and potatoes will have absorbed more of the spices to be even more flavorful.
I can bet if your mom or granny is desi she must be using both methods to her convenience. If you are new to this term, Aloo means potato in Urdu and keema is mincemeat or ground meat. It is super simple to make like any other everyday cooking recipe. This recipe is particularly easy, ( Gravy method 1) and yields great-tasting keema, my favorite.
