3. Reduce the heat to a simmer and continue stirring the mixture until the sauce has become thick and creamy and the rice has cooked. This should take about 15 minutes.
4. Once the rice has cooked and the mixture has a similar appearance and texture as oatmeal it is ready. Remove from the heat and serve warm with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
