1. Preheat oven to 350˚F. Butter an 8" x 8" square baking pan. (recipe note #1)
2. In a large bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, kosher salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
3. Add butter and chopped chocolate to the top of a double boiler or medium glass bowl set over, but not touching, 1-inch of gently boiling water. Stir until chocolate has mostly melted; remove from heat and stir until smooth. Stir in sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs and stir until thick and smooth. Add mixture to dry ingredients and stir until combined.
4. Spread batter in an even layer into prepared baking pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes until top is set and a knife or toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs (do not overcook). Transfer to wire cooling rack for 15 minutes before cutting into 16 equal squares. Once cooled completely, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

1. Preheat your oven to 325 and prep a baking dish for nonstick. I suggest using parchment paper that overlaps the edges of the baking pan. This will allow for both an easy clean up and for easy transferring for cutting and storing.
2. Melt your butter in the microwave or on top of the stove and allow it to cool in liquid form. Meanwhile, in a medium mixing bowl, use a fork or a whisk to mix together the almond flour and the baking powder. If you are using an unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt to this bowl.
3. Next, in a large mixing bowl, blend together the melted butter and the sugar alternatives. Then stir in the eggs and the vanilla. Next, add the dry ingredients from the first bowl to the large mixing bowl. I like to add half of the dry ingredients, stir gently and then add the remaining dry ingredients. Stir until just blended. Then fold in the chocolate chips.
4. Bake until just browning around the edges, about 30-35 minutes. A toothpick check may give a false negative because of the chocolate chips. If you choose to use this method, check in several spots for more accuracy.
