4. Gently combined wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in most of the chocolate chips (if using) and reserve some for the top. Place the batter into muffin liners and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the tops are golden brown, and the toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the muffin tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool for another 15-20 minutes.
