Homemade Beeswax Lip Balm Recipe (All-Natural and Toxin Free!) In a double boiler, or a heat-safe bowl nestled on top of a pot of simmering water over medium low heat, combine beeswax pastilles, shea butter, and coconut oil. Heat for about 10 minutes until the mixture is completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint essential oils.
When the beeswax is about half melted, add in 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, and a few drops of raw honey. 3. Once the wax is completely melted, and the coconut oil and honey blended in, break open 2 capsules of vitamin E (or an equivalent amount from a bottle) and pour into the mix. Blend well.
Directions for making a foot balm with beeswax and and moisturizing oils to sooth cracked heels. If you have a standard double boiler that you want to dedicate to wax melting, put water in the bottom half and your beeswax in the top. Those of you without a standard double boiler and improvise one use the above mentioned insert.
