Calories: 136 per servingTotal Time: 5 mins1. Gather your ingredients that you will be mixing together in a cocktail shaker. If you do not have a cocktail shaker, you can mix this drink by pouring between two glasses until frothy. Choose a vodka of your choice. At your discretion, you could also make this gimlet with gin. Spirits do not contribute to any carbohydrates in this Keto cocktail. You’ll also need lime juice, filtered water, and liquid Stevia. For a garnish, you can choose fresh basil or mint. Most gimlets are served in a martini glass or a long-stem cocktail glass, like the one used in this recipe.
2. Place 3-4 ice cubes in your cocktail shaker or tall glass. Pour in the vodka and lime juice. Mix together the water and liquid stevia, then pour this into the shaker as well. Shake together the cocktail or pour back and forth between two tall glasses. Shake the drink until it becomes a little frothy. Then, strain the drink into your glass, leaving behind the ice cubes.
3. Garnish your drink while it is still a little frothy. Choose from basil or mint to complement the lime flavor and vodka. At your leisure, you could use other fresh herbs as a garnish, such as a little sprig of rosemary. Most gimlets are served chilled. However, you could pour this drink over fresh ice to keep it cold and crisp. To avoid watering down this stiff drink, you could also chill your glass before making the recipe.
