1. Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: Begin by combining 3/4 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon in a shallow bowl or pie pan.

3. Slice the bread 6 thick pieces.
4. Use a knife to cut a slit into the top of each slice, but don't cut all the way through. You are basically cutting out a little pocket in the bread.
