Method to make Masala tea powder Or Indian chai masala powder . Indian chai or tea is a common beverage for us. We start our day with a blend of ginger-mint tea or cardamom ginger tea. Sometimes to make the chai more spiced, I do add cinnamon, cloves and fennel seeds.
Add dried ginger in the small jar of a mixer grinder or heavy duty blender or coffee grinder. Grind until medium coarse powder. Add cinnamon, cloves, black peppercorns and cardamom. Grind it again until it turns into a medium coarse powder. Do not grind it into very smooth powder. Tea masala powder is ready.
You will need to put 2 tea bags in a large mug and pour 12 ounces of boiling water on top. Allow the tea to sit and steep for a few minutes or until it's the strength you prefer. Then mix in 3-4 teaspoons of the homemade keto chai tea mix and stir well. Then add in a drop or two of vanilla if desired and enjoy!
The chicken tikka masala at a restaurant may or may not be low carb and/or grain-free. It depends on the specific recipe. We can be sure that the rice it is served with is definitely not low-carb or grain free! When eating this dish at a restaurant, I usually eat it without the rice.
